This is a heavy solid wine bottle coaster with a wooden base painted black with the paint flaking off.  There black flecks on the coaster inside and out.   It looks as if this where the original coating has been chipped or rubbed.   Instructions on the label are”dont use silver polish and polish with a damp cloth.”   Still a nicely made usable item.    Questions welcome.
