A really big antique lidded butter dish with inner. The silver plating is rough in places. Likely late 1800’s.
Wiki Information: The Meriden Britannia Company was a renovwned American manufacturer of silver-plated flatware and holloware. Founded in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut, it grew into the world’s largest silverware company by the late 1800s. In 1898, it merged into the International Silver Company, which earned Meriden the nickname “The Silver City”.
