Item Description

WW2 ALUMINIUM CIG CASE “TRENCH ART”

I was rather excited to find another example of Trench Art – items made during the 1st and 2nd world wars by soldiers or prisoners.   I have had some really interesting and beautifully made lighters.   This fantastic vintage Cig case is in good condition.  The outside has a lovely patina of wear, showing how much it has been used.   The elastic which holds the cigarettes in place is long gone.  Seems to me the cigarettes were a lot shorter than nowdays.  The following is copied from an internet site:

“made of Aluminium from downed planes and billy cans during 1940’s probably Prisoner of War pieces.”

Dont hesitate to ask me any questions.   You are welcome to combine items.  Delivery to East London free by arrangement.
