Item Description

An interesting piece of treen.  I am guessing 1940’s as stockings were really expensive and hard to come by, possibly earlier?   In really nice vintage condition with the darnigh hook fitting nicely into the egg.    The instructions below are from google.  Dont hesitate to ask any questions.

Place the’Egg’ inside the stocking with the ladder over the groove Commence with the hook open Pass the hook through the dropped stitch at the bottom of the ladder, pick up the first mesh and draw through Through the loop formed take the next mesh, with the hook drawing through and repeating until the end of the ladder, when a perfect repair will be effected Replace the hook into egg after use Made In England.
