These tiles were made in the 1970’s and 80’s  in Kwa Zululand Natal by Valmai Olsen Edwards.  They were part of a series.  They are press moulded and designed to hang up.  In their hey day they were sold in many prominent outlets.

I have seen them polished a deep brown which looks really lovely.  I think these tiles are from the african mythology series.
