South African Porcelain – Hotelware Jug

13cm high – base 10cm
This jug is in such nice condition considering it is hotel ware from the Miekles hotel which was 100 in 2015!!  Although of course I don’t know when they were using this type of jug!
I collected jugs and have had this one for a number of years – it just seems to be full of history .
I am offering this one as I really have too many!

There is one chip on the base.  See pictures.   No chips or cracks otherwise.
I am including a link to the History of this iconic “Rhodesian” Hotel which is still in operation in the now Zimbabwe in case you are interested.

1915 – Meikles Hotel was officially opened on November 15.

“2015  – Meikles Hotel turned 100-years-old.  It was the brainchild of  Thomas Meikles who envisioned a commitment to the “highest possible standard of service and product” – something that has become enshrined in the Meikles culture.
