S A Pottery - Green Mugs - Grahamstown Hamburgers Pottery

Two lovely green glazed mugs from the Grahamstown Hamburgers Pottery.  There is not a lot of information on this pottery.   If you would like to perhaps start a collection of this potters work or find out about his work, I suggest “scorched” Earth by Wendy Gers,  a fantastic reference book on southern African potteries.  The mugs are not identical at all and the glazes are a little different.   There are bubbles in the glaze at the base of one mug.  See Pix.
