Item Description

This neat knife and fork set is in a Royal AA Club of SA  wooden box.   It will be perfect to add to a vintage car memorabilia collection.  The knife and fork are Stainless steel but show some signs of rusting/tarnish.   There is a name written onto each end of the set.  Please note that there is a split where the box is glued together.  It cant be seen in the pictures.  It can easily be glued but I will leave that to the next owner.  Please feel free to ask any questions.   Pargo couriers is an economical shipping option.

The Automobile Association of South Africa (AA). from ” SA history online.”

The first motoring club, the Automobile Club of SA, based in Cape Town, was founded in October 1901.

The Automobile Association of South Africa (AA) was formed at a meeting in Port Elizabeth.  Its main function was to provide a strong national motoring organisation to protect and promote the interests of motorists in South Africa.

The original Cape Town based Automobile Club of SA received a royal charter and became known as the Royal Automobile Club of South Africa.

This club was taken over by the AA in 1965, after a fruitful existence of 64 years.
