MID CENTUARY PEWTER TEA SET

Collectors of pewter will recognise this typical Mid Centuary Pewter Tea Set – perhaps 40’s.   My Lady Pewter was the trademark of George Lee & Company, Sheffield, England.   This mark was used from 1929 to about 1967.   

The set is in fair used vintage condition.  PLEASE NOTE – I believe that the base ring of the teapot has been added on later as it differs from the bases of the jug and basin.  It has fairly rough repair work inside under the rim.  (Please see pictures)   I didnt actually notice this addition until I started to take the photographs.  Still a lovely handmade and beaten decorative tea set.
