I love the stark beauty of white painted skulls and enjoy working on the free designs that inspire me.
This one has intricate lines inspired by Persian designs. Its not everyone’s taste but does somehow keep the spirit of the animal alive. The central motif is of a scarab beetle. This skull is a found object.
Taken from Google “”The Egyptian god Khepri, Ra as the rising sun, was often depicted as a scarab beetle or as a scarab beetle-headed man. The ancient Egyptians believed that Khepri renewed the sun every day before rolling it above the horizon, then carried it through the other world after sunset, only to renew it, again, the next day.””
