ORIENTAL SOAPSTONE CARVING

The carving is about 9.5 cms wide and 7 cms high.  I cannot say with certainty what the stone is but feel that it is Chinese Soapstone.   Its a beautifully carved piece and the dark section has been carefully placed at the bottom of the carving.  The design appears to be peaches in a tree with a nest or bowl amongst the branches. There don’t appear to be any chips.
