Oriental Chinese incense burner? Blue and White porcelain

This pretty hexagonal handpainted oriental item looks like an incense burner. On two sides there are depictions of  boys playing with a toy.  There are pierced “medalions” on two sides and on the top.  In lovely used condition.  This item belonged to someone who taught in china.
