Marquetry jewelry box - inlaid wood - italian - most unusual shape

Italian inlaid wooden box.   This is a lovely example of marquetry.  A really unusual design.  The box is in used vintage condition.

 Please note that the mirror inside the lid is broken.  The top drawers swivel out sideways.   Note that the inside padding is coming away from the sides of the box.   The box is 18 cms wide and about 9 cms high. The pictures form part of my description.
