Large solid brass tool, tongs or pincers approx 1 kg

These huge tongs are in lovely used vintage condition.   Then are connected with a copper bolt and nut.  I am not sure if they are purely ornamental.  They will look fantastic in a pub or with a brass collection.   Please dont hesitate to ask any questions.
