Enamel No 7 metal plate blue and white

A solid enamelled no 7 on a blue background.  Possibly for something architechtural house or door numbering?  The enamelling has been done on a heavy metal plate and is enamelled both sides – see pictures.  Damage to the edges.  Dont hesitte to ask questions.
