Donald Duck Disney mechanical rolling eye clock - 1950's? toy

I was quite excited to find a couple of mechanical toys recently, one of which is this Donald Duck wind up clock.    It is designed to be hung on the wall or to stand.   The eyes roll right and left the mechanism is in working order.   It has its original mickey mouse shaped key.

Please note the following      1.  the wood where the screws at the back hold the clock upright have broken out of the wood.   I think probably easy to repair.            2.  The clock does not work, I seems to me as if the spring could be broken.  See pics of inside clock.
