The variety of shapes and materials used in Victorian Ink Wells makes them worth collecting. Having to dip a pen into an inkwell and write goes back to old times. Dating myself now: but in school in the 1950’s we still had inkwells in our desks which were filled up by Bulk Stephens inks – see one that I am selling – still with its label. Ok in those days I think I was too small to use a pen. Well pencils are still in use and pretty much unchanged!!
