Brass Elephant bell - claw bell - temple bell - 9.5 cm base

The tinkling of an elephant bell reminds me of old period movies where the bell on the hotel desk was one of these elephant bells.    The really old ones have a lovely history going back many years when they were hung underneath the belly of elephants.  I believe they were used on other animals.  This bell has a pretty engraved design around the base and bell.   Unfortunately one of the tines has broken off but the clapper is still intact
