This book is in very good condition.   It doesnt look as if has been read.   An interesting account of the life and records of Clive Harold Halse who is from a well known Eastern Cape farming family.    He signed up with Cullinan’s Horse in 1914 – he qualified as a pilot with the royal flying corp.  He was shot down in France in 1917  Published privately by Kathleen Satchwell.

Records the life of Clive Harold Halse, who grew up in the Eastern Cape. In 1914 he signed up and served with Cullinan’s Horse in German South West Africa before training with the Royal Flying Corps and qualifying as a pilot. A lieutenant of No 70 Squadron, he was shot down on his first reconnaissance mission to Cambrai in France on 24 April 1917.
