ANTIQUE HOT WATER PLATE WARMER 

How different to find a lovely blue and white plate with a metal dish attached underneath it to keep food warm.    There is a spout which had a screw closure.  There are handles to pick up the plate as well.  Many of these hot water plate warmers were late 19th century but I cant say for sure the age of this one.  The plate has a hairline crack in it, and the crazing is stained from years of use.  The metal base has some rust on the undermeath.
