Akkord Pinguin K 58 portable snake skin radio Germany 1950's

What a rare find.   It appears to be 1950’s  Made in Germany by Pinguin Akkord.

There is still a battery in the radio which I would like to take out but it doesnt appear to be leaking.  When plugged into the mains the radio comes to life.   You can tune between stations. When its near a station it crackles loudly and goes quiet between “stations”  The Volume dial works.  The carry handle has cracks from use but is strong.   Please look at the pictures carefully and please ask for more photos or information.  The photos form a big part of my description.  No guarantees on this old portable, but what a showpiece for your collection!
