These two glasses are rather pretty. The amber cocktail glass has an impressed mark on the base that appears to be a horseshoe or a U. It has 8 sections around the glass which don’t show up in the photos and a twist in the stem. The other wine glass has a pinkish tinge to it with a few small bubbles in the base. Both these glasses are in good used vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks.
Collecting glass has so many areas that one can specialize in. It is timeless, found in ancient sites dating back for centuries. The earliest known man made glass date back to around 3500BC, with finds in Egypt and Eastern Mesopotamia – so much for your history lesson!!
